2025 Tax Filing Season

Here you will find any updates or newsletters we send out as well as relevant tax information specific to the 2025 tax filing season.

Organizer Delivery

Our 2025 tax organizers will be mailed or emailed beginning mid January. You will receive your organizer via the same method as the previous year (email or mail). Additionally, it will be mailed to the same mailing address or email address used for your 2024 tax filing unless you have called our office and recently updated it. If you did not receive an organizer and you generally receive the document electronically, please check your junk or spam folder. If you would prefer to receive it differently please call our office or email us (you can also use the Info Request box at the bottom of this page). Be prepared to verify your identity when calling.

Reminder: Completed Questionnaire's and signed Engagement Letters are Required for 2025 Tax Completion

Office information/DROPBOX available

The 2025 tax filing season will begin towards the end of January. While we do not offer in office appointments during tax season, we are happy to meet to review your taxes after completion or after April 30th for tax planning. Please call the office for details. Current IRS & AZ state refund times will be updated once IRS has opened their filing season towards the latter part of January 2026

During tax season our office is open Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm.

While we accept your tax documents in all the usual methods, we now have a drop "slot" for your tax documents! The slot is located to the left of our front door under the "DROPBOX" sticker and is available 24 hours/7 days a week. While the slot is secure and cannot be accessed by anyone other than office personnel, please enclose your documents within an envelope to ensure your documents stay together.

MAJOR IRS CHANGES REGARDING PAPER CHECKS

Effective October 1, 2025, the IRS, in coordination with the U.S. Department of the Treasury, has ceased accepting paper checks for federal tax payments. This change is part of a federal initiative to modernize payment systems, reduce fraud risks, and increase processing efficiency.
As a result, all federal tax obligations, including estimated tax payments and balances due with your tax return, must now be remitted electronically. Payments sent by paper check may be rejected and could lead to missed payment deadlines and potential penalties or interest accrual.

Your Electronic Payment Options: The IRS offers several secure and convenient electronic methods for making tax payments:

IRS Direct Pay: A free service to pay directly from your bank account without any registration required. Schedule payments up to 365 days in advance and receive instant confirmation. Visit irs.gov/payments to initiate payment.

Debit or Credit Card: Payments can be made online, by phone, or through the IRS2Go app via third-party processors (note: processing fees apply). Visit irs.gov/payments to initiate payment.

Electronic Federal Tax Payment System (EFTPS): A free system for individuals (if already enrolled by Oct 17, 2025) and businesses to make and schedule recurring payments.

IRS Online Account: By creating an account with secure ID verification through id.me, you can view your balance, payment history, and make payments from one place. Visit irs.gov/

Action Required:
To ensure timely and secure payments, please transition to one of the electronic payment methods listed above for all future federal tax payments.

We understand this may be a change from your previous routine. If you have any questions or require assistance in setting up your electronic payments, please do not hesitate to contact our office. If you have already made a payment via check since this implementation, please ensure that your payment has been processed.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this important update.
